Elísabet Waage is a Norwegian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of classical repertoire. Born on May 12, 1985, in Oslo, Norway, Waage showed an early aptitude for music and began playing the piano at the age of five. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with renowned Norwegian pianist and pedagogue Einar Steen-Nøkleberg. Under Steen-Nøkleberg's tutelage, Waage developed a deep appreciation for the classical repertoire and honed her technical skills. She also began to perform in public, giving her first solo recital at the age of nine.
