Kyndel Quartet takes its name from the Old Norse word "kyndill," which means "candle." The quartet chose this name to represent the warmth and intimacy of their music, which they strive to create in every performance. Since their founding, Kyndel Quartet has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. They have also performed internationally, with concerts in Europe and Asia. One of the highlights of Kyndel Quartet's career was their performance at the 2017 Chamber Music America Conference in New York City. The quartet was selected to perform as part of the conference's showcase concert, which featured some of the most promising young chamber music ensembles in the country.
