Role:PerformerLucile Richardot is a French mezzo-soprano who has made a name for herself in the world of classical music. Born in 1984 in the city of Dijon, Richardot grew up in a family that was passionate about music. Her parents were both amateur musicians, and they encouraged their daughter to pursue her interest in singing from a young age. Richardot began her formal musical training at the Conservatoire de Dijon, where she studied under the guidance of soprano Françoise Pollet. She later went on to study at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she was mentored by mezzo-soprano Anne-Sofie von Otter. Richardot's talent as a singer was evident from an early age, and she quickly began to make a name for herself in the world of classical music. In 2009, she won first prize at the International Singing Competition of Marmande, which helped to launch her career. Over the years, Richardot has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls and opera houses. She has worked with many of the leading conductors and orchestras of our time, including William Christie, Philippe Herreweghe, and Les Arts Florissants. One of Richardot's most notable performances was her portrayal of the role of Dido in Henry Purcell's opera "Dido and Aeneas." She has also received critical acclaim for her performances in Handel's "Messiah" and Bach's "St. Matthew Passion."
