Jessica Dandy is a British mezzo-soprano who has made a name for herself in the classical music world with her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. Born in Manchester, England, Dandy grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age. She attended the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she studied under the tutelage of mezzo-soprano Susan Bullock. Dandy's career began to take off in 2016 when she won the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award, a competition for young British singers. This award is highly regarded in the classical music world and has been won by many famous singers, including Dame Janet Baker and Bryn Terfel. Dandy's win was a major milestone in her career and helped to establish her as a rising star in the opera world. Since winning the Kathleen Ferrier Award, Dandy has gone on to perform in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses and concert halls.
