Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1967, Hemming began playing the piano at the age of five and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Her parents recognized her potential and enrolled her in the Toho Gakuen School of Music, one of the most prestigious music schools in Japan. Under the guidance of her teachers, Hemming developed a deep love and appreciation for classical music.
