The Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances for over two decades. The ensemble was founded in 1997 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for chamber music and a desire to create a unique sound that would showcase the beauty and complexity of classical music. The founding members of the Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia were all accomplished musicians who had previously performed with various orchestras and ensembles in the Czech Republic and abroad. They included violinists Jan Fišer and Jiří Vodička, violist Pavel Nikl, cellist Petr Hejný, and double bassist Jan Keller. Together, they set out to create an ensemble that would combine the precision and technical skill of a larger orchestra with the intimacy and expressiveness of a chamber group. From the outset, the Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia was committed to exploring a wide range of classical music repertoire, from Baroque and Classical to Romantic and Contemporary. The ensemble's versatility and adaptability allowed it to perform in a variety of settings, from small concert halls and churches to large-scale festivals and international tours. Over the years, the Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia has become known for its exceptional musicianship and innovative programming. The ensemble has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned soloists and conductors, including pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, violinist Joshua Bell, and conductor Sir Neville Marriner. One of the highlights of the Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia's career was its performance at the 2006 Prague Spring International Music Festival. The ensemble was invited to perform alongside the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in a special concert that celebrated the festival's 60th anniversary. The concert, which was broadcast live on Czech television, featured a program of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Dvořák, and was met with critical acclaim. In addition to its numerous performances and collaborations, the Chamber Philharmonic of Bohemia has also received several awards and accolades for its contributions to classical music. In 2002, the ensemble was awarded the prestigious Czech Chamber Music Society Award for its outstanding performances and dedication to promoting chamber music in the Czech Republic. The following year, the ensemble was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, where it received a standing ovation from the audience.
