The ensemble's name, Florilegium, is derived from the Latin word for "a collection of flowers" and reflects the group's commitment to exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of Baroque and Classical music. The ensemble's core members include Ashley Solomon on flute and recorder, Bojan Čičić on violin, Reiko Ichise on viola da gamba, and Terence Charlston on harpsichord. Florilegium's performances are characterized by their impeccable musicianship, technical precision, and deep understanding of the historical context of the music they play. The ensemble's members are all highly accomplished musicians in their own right, with extensive experience performing with other leading period instrument ensembles and orchestras.
