Born in 1974 in Boston, Massachusetts, Norsworthy grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a very young age. His father was a jazz pianist, and his mother was a classical pianist, which gave him a unique perspective on music. Norsworthy began playing the clarinet at the age of nine and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument.
