He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Aldo Ciccolini. Urbano's talent and dedication to music were evident from the beginning, and he quickly became one of Ciccolini's most promising students. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Urbano began performing in various concerts and recitals across Italy. His performances were well-received, and he soon gained a reputation as a talented pianist. In 1975, Urbano won the prestigious Busoni International Piano Competition, which further cemented his position as a rising star in the world of classical music. Over the years, Urbano continued to perform in concerts and recitals across Europe, Asia, and the United States. He collaborated with several renowned conductors and orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. Urbano's performances were characterized by his technical brilliance, musical sensitivity, and emotional depth. One of Urbano's most memorable performances was his rendition of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor Concerto."
