Period:RenaissanceBaroqueGenre:VocalStéphanie Rédivat is a French classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of a wide range of repertoire. Born in Paris in 1985, Rédivat began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied with several renowned teachers in France and Germany, including Pascal Devoyon, Jacques Rouvier, and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. Rédivat's early career was marked by a series of impressive competition wins. In 2003, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Epinal, France, and the following year she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Lagny-sur-Marne. In 2005, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Brest, France, and in 2006 she was a finalist at the prestigious Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland. These early successes helped to launch Rédivat's career as a soloist, and she has since performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre de Paris, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also given recitals in major concert halls around the world, including the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Wigmore Hall in London, and Carnegie Hall in New York. Rédivat's repertoire is wide-ranging, encompassing works from the Baroque era to the present day. She has a particular affinity for the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, and Debussy, and has recorded several albums of their works. Her recordings have received critical acclaim, with Gramophone magazine praising her "impeccable technique and musicality" and the BBC Music Magazine describing her as "a pianist of rare sensitivity and insight." In addition to her solo career, Rédivat is also an active chamber musician. She has collaborated with many of the world's leading instrumentalists and singers, including cellist Gautier Capuçon, violinist Renaud Capuçon, and soprano Sandrine Piau. She is a member of the Trio Karénine, which she founded in 2009 with violinist Fanny Robilliard and cellist Louis Rodde. The trio has won several awards, including first prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2013. Rédivat's musical achievements have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2010, she was awarded the Victoire de la Musique Classique, the most prestigious classical music award in France, in the category of "Instrumental Soloist of the Year." She has also been awarded the Prix de la Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca, the Prix de la Fondation Charles Oulmont, and the Prix de la Fondation Natixis. Despite her many accomplishments, Rédivat remains dedicated to her craft and continues to strive for excellence in her performances. She is known for her meticulous preparation and attention to detail, and for her ability to bring out the emotional depth and beauty of the music she plays. With her talent, dedication, and passion for music, Stéphanie Rédivat is sure to remain a major figure in the world of classical music for many years to come.More....
