Born on May 5, 1989, in Riga, Latvia, Brivkalne showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with some of the best teachers in Latvia. As a young musician, Brivkalne participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning several awards and accolades along the way. In 2005, she won first prize at the Latvian National Piano Competition, and in 2007, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Tallinn, Estonia. These early successes helped to establish Brivkalne as a rising star in the classical music world. After completing her studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Brivkalne continued her education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany. There, she studied with renowned pianist and pedagogue Evgeni Koroliov, who helped to shape her musical style and technique. Throughout her career, Brivkalne has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician, both in Latvia and abroad. She has appeared at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. She has also collaborated with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra.
