Polly Ferman is a renowned classical pianist and conductor who has made a significant impact on the world of music. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Ferman began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She went on to study at the National Conservatory of Music in Montevideo and later at the Juilliard School in New York City. Ferman's career as a performer began in the 1970s, when she began touring extensively throughout South America and Europe. She quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist, known for her technical skill and emotional depth. In 1984, Ferman founded the New York-based GlamourTango, an all-female tango ensemble that has since become one of the most popular and acclaimed tango groups in the world.
