She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Borchers showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Borchers received her early musical education at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where she studied under the tutelage of renowned violinist Ulf Wallin. She later went on to study at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg in Austria, where she received her Master's degree in violin performance. Throughout her career, Borchers has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, such as Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Zubin Mehta. One of Borchers' most notable performances was her solo debut with the Berlin Philharmonic in 2008, where she performed Brahms' Violin Concerto. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with many praising Borchers' technical skill and emotional depth. In addition to her solo performances, Borchers is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with many notable ensembles, including the Artemis Quartet and the Hagen Quartet.
