József Vajda was a Hungarian composer and pianist who was born on January 1, 1949, in Budapest, Hungary. He was the son of a music teacher and grew up in a musical family. From a young age, Vajda showed a great interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he received his diploma in composition in 1973.
