Alvaro Cassuto is a renowned classical music conductor and composer who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. Born on August 6, 1938, in Porto, Portugal, Cassuto showed an early interest in music and began studying the violin at the age of six. He later went on to study composition and conducting at the National Conservatory of Lisbon. Cassuto's career as a conductor began in 1962 when he was appointed as the assistant conductor of the Portuguese National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
