He was the youngest of three siblings and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. His father was a pianist, and his mother was a singer, which inspired Domingo to pursue a career in music. Domingo started playing the piano at the age of five and showed exceptional talent from an early age. He was enrolled in a music school in Buenos Aires, where he received formal training in piano and music theory. He also learned to play the violin and the cello, which helped him develop a deep understanding of classical music. In 1968, Domingo moved to Europe to further his music education. He enrolled in the Conservatoire de Paris, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Olivier Messiaen. During his time in Paris, Domingo also attended masterclasses by other famous musicians, including Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim. After completing his studies in Paris, Domingo moved to Vienna, where he joined the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra as a pianist. He quickly established himself as a talented musician and was soon promoted to the position of principal pianist. Domingo's performances with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra were highly acclaimed, and he became a sought-after musician in the classical music world. In 1975, Domingo made his solo debut at the Salzburg Festival, where he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a huge success, and Domingo received critical acclaim for his interpretation of the piece. This performance marked the beginning of Domingo's solo career, and he went on to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
