Maslenko began his musical training at the age of five, and he quickly showed a natural talent for the piano. He studied under some of the best teachers in Russia, including Sergei Dorensky and Lev Naumov. Maslenko's talent was recognized early on, and he won his first competition at the age of eight. Maslenko's career took off in the early 1990s when he won the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. This competition is one of the most prestigious in the world, and winning it is a significant achievement for any musician. Maslenko's performance was praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth, and he quickly became a rising star in the classical music world. After his victory at the Tchaikovsky Competition, Maslenko began to perform extensively throughout Russia and Europe.
