The Limburg Symphony Orchestra, Maastricht is a classical music ensemble based in the city of Maastricht, Netherlands. The orchestra was founded in 1883 as the Maastrichts Stedelijk Orkest, and has since grown to become one of the most renowned orchestras in the country. The orchestra's early years were marked by a series of challenges, including financial difficulties and a lack of support from the local community.
