He was born on August 17, 1946, in New York City, and grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist, which exposed him to classical music at a young age. Tiboris began his musical education at the age of six, studying piano and violin. He later attended the High School of Music and Art in New York City, where he studied conducting with Laszlo Halasz, the founder of the New York City Opera. Tiboris continued his education at the Manhattan School of Music, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in conducting. After completing his studies, Tiboris began his career as a conductor, working with various orchestras and opera companies in the United States and Europe. In 1977, he founded MidAmerica Productions, which has since become one of the leading producers of classical music concerts in the world. One of the highlights of Tiboris's career was his work with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1989, he became the first American conductor to lead the orchestra in a concert in Moscow's Red Square. The concert was a huge success, and Tiboris was praised for his ability to bridge the cultural divide between the United States and the Soviet Union. Tiboris has also worked with many other renowned orchestras and opera companies, including the New York Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna State Opera, and the Metropolitan Opera.
