Amandine Savary is a French classical pianist known for her virtuosic performances and sensitive interpretations of classical repertoire. She was born on May 22, 1980, in Paris, France, to a family of musicians. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a cellist, so music was always a part of her life from an early age. Savary began playing the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional talent from the start. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she earned a degree in piano performance. She also studied with renowned pianists such as Maria João Pires, Murray Perahia, and András Schiff. Savary made her debut as a soloist with the Orchestre National de France at the age of 16, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor. This performance marked the beginning of her career as a concert pianist, and she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional talent and musicality. Over the years, Savary has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors, such as Daniel Barenboim, Sir Simon Rattle, and Riccardo Muti. Savary's repertoire is vast and includes works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, and Debussy. She is particularly known for her interpretations of Mozart's piano concertos, which she has performed and recorded extensively. Savary has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2003, she was awarded the Victoires de la Musique Classique, the most prestigious classical music award in France. She has also been awarded the Diapason d'Or, the Choc de Classica, and the Gramophone Award. Savary is also a passionate educator and has taught at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. She is currently a professor of piano at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in Switzerland. In addition to her performing and teaching career, Savary is also a dedicated philanthropist. She is the founder of the Amandine Savary Foundation, which supports young musicians and promotes classical music education.
