Per Enoksson is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born on 22nd May 1964 in Stockholm, Sweden. Enoksson grew up in a family of musicians, and his parents were both professional violinists. His father, Sten Enoksson, was a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, and his mother, Ingrid Enoksson, was a violin teacher. Enoksson started playing the violin at the age of four, and he showed exceptional talent from an early age. He received his first violin lessons from his mother, and later he studied with Professor Arve Tellefsen at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. Enoksson continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied with Professor Henryk Szeryng. Enoksson's talent was recognized early on, and he won several awards and competitions as a young musician. In 1982, he won the first prize in the Swedish National Violin Competition, and in 1984, he won the first prize in the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition in Denmark. The Berliner Morgenpost wrote, "Per Enoksson is a violinist of the highest order, with a tone that is both warm and brilliant, and a technique that is flawless." Enoksson has also made several recordings, including the complete works for violin and piano by Edvard Grieg, which he recorded with pianist Love Derwinger. The recording received critical acclaim and was awarded the Swedish Grammy for Best Classical Album in 1996. Enoksson is also a dedicated teacher, and he has taught at several music schools and universities, including the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. He has also given masterclasses in many countries, including the United States, Japan, and China. Enoksson has received many awards and honors throughout his career. In 1995, he was awarded the Litteris et Artibus medal by the Swedish government for his contributions to the arts. In 2002, he was awarded the Royal Swedish Academy of Music's Litteris et Artibus medal, and in 2014, he was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's Instrumentalist Award. Enoksson continues to perform and teach, and he remains one of the most respected and admired violinists of his generation.
