Born on April 5, 1961, in Budapest, Hungary, Keller began his musical journey at a young age, showing a natural talent for the violin. He studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he was mentored by renowned violinist and pedagogue Ferenc Rados. Keller's early career was marked by numerous accolades and awards, including first prize at the 1980 János Koncz National Violin Competition and the 1981 Tibor Varga International Violin Competition. He also won the prestigious Paganini Prize at the 1985 International Violin Competition in Genoa, Italy, cementing his reputation as one of the most talented violinists of his generation. In 1987, Keller co-founded the Keller Quartet, a string quartet that quickly gained international recognition for their innovative interpretations of classical and contemporary music. The quartet's unique sound and dynamic performances earned them numerous awards, including the Gramophone Award for Best Chamber Music Recording in 1994 and the MIDEM Classical Award in 1998. As a soloist, Keller has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many of the leading conductors of our time, including Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle, and Daniel Barenboim. In addition to his work as a performer, Keller is also a respected conductor and educator. He has served as the principal conductor of the Concerto Budapest Symphony Orchestra since 2014 and has conducted many other orchestras around the world. He is also a professor at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he teaches violin and chamber music. Throughout his career, Keller has remained committed to promoting classical music and supporting young musicians. He has served as a jury member for many international music competitions and has founded several music festivals and educational programs, including the International Chamber Music Festival in Budapest and the International Musicians' Seminar in Prussia Cove, England.
