Jorg-Michael Schwarz is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant contribution to the world of music. He was born in Germany and grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Jorg-Michael showed a keen interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of four. After completing his studies at Juilliard, Jorg-Michael embarked on a successful career as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. Jorg-Michael has also collaborated with some of the most respected musicians in the world, including Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Pinchas Zukerman. In addition to his work as a soloist and chamber musician, Jorg-Michael is also an accomplished conductor. He is the founder and artistic director of the internationally acclaimed baroque orchestra, REBEL. Under his leadership, REBEL has become one of the most respected baroque ensembles in the world, known for its innovative programming and virtuosic performances. Jorg-Michael's work with REBEL has earned him numerous accolades and awards. In 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Echo Klassik Award for his recording of Handel's "Water Music." He has also been awarded the Diapason d'Or, the Choc de Classica, and the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, among others. Jorg-Michael's dedication to his craft and his commitment to excellence have made him one of the most respected musicians in the world.
