Sophie's parents recognized her musical talent at a young age and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Sophie began her musical training at the Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles, where she studied piano and singing. She later continued her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she specialized in Baroque music. During her studies, Sophie was mentored by renowned musicians such as William Christie, Jill Feldman, and Rachel Yakar. Sophie's career as a professional musician began in the early 1990s when she joined the ensemble Les Arts Florissants, led by William Christie.
