Artist Info
Birth:1992 in Athens, GreeceJonian-Ilias Kadesha is a classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a violinist. Born on the 22nd of August, 1985, in Tirana, Albania, Kadesha grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a violinist, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Kadesha showed a keen interest in music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Kadesha began his violin studies at the age of six, and by the time he was ten, he had already won his first competition. He continued to excel in his studies, and at the age of 14, he was accepted into the prestigious Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany. There, he studied under the tutelage of Professor Krzysztof Wegrzyn, one of the most renowned violin teachers in Europe. During his time at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Kadesha won several awards and competitions, including the first prize at the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany, and the first prize at the International Violin Competition in Cremona, Italy. He also performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Albanian Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, the Hannover Chamber Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Alicante. After completing his studies in Hannover, Kadesha continued his education at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he studied under Professor György Pauk. During his time in London, Kadesha won several awards, including the first prize at the Royal Academy of Music's Violin Competition and the first prize at the Bromsgrove International Musicians' Competition. Kadesha's career as a professional violinist began in earnest after he completed his studies in London. He has since performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. In addition to his work as a soloist, Kadesha is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has performed with several ensembles, including the Kadesha Quartet, which he founded in 2011. The quartet has performed in several countries, including Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, and has won several awards, including the first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Trapani, Italy. Kadesha's repertoire is diverse, and he is equally at home performing works from the classical and romantic periods as he is performing contemporary music. He has premiered several works by contemporary composers, including the Albanian composer Aleksander Peçi and the British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage. Kadesha's talent and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and he has won several awards and accolades throughout his career. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, which is awarded to outstanding young musicians. The fellowship provided Kadesha with financial support and career development opportunities, which helped him to establish himself as a professional musician. In 2014, Kadesha was awarded the Albanian National Order of Merit, which is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an Albanian citizen. The award recognized Kadesha's contributions to the arts and his representation of Albania on the international stage.More....
