Born in Germany, Frucht showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. He later went on to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, where he received his diploma in conducting. Frucht's career as a conductor began in 1991 when he was appointed as the assistant conductor of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. He quickly gained recognition for his talent and was soon appointed as the principal conductor of the orchestra.
