He began his formal training at the Madrid Conservatory, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most renowned music teachers in Spain. Pizarro's talent and dedication to music were evident from the start, and he quickly became one of the most promising young musicians in the country. In 1984, Pizarro won the prestigious International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain. This was a major turning point in his career, as it brought him international recognition and opened up new opportunities for him. He went on to win several other competitions, including the Paloma O'Shea International Piano Competition in Santander in 1986 and the Leeds International Piano Competition in 1990. Pizarro's talent and hard work paid off, and he soon became one of the most sought-after pianists in the world. He performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, Asia, and the United States, and he collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors and orchestras in the world. One of the highlights of Pizarro's career was his performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1995.
