She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Gaver showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As she grew older, Gaver's passion for music only intensified. She attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied piano performance under the tutelage of renowned pianist and teacher, Yoheved Kaplinsky. During her time at Juilliard, Gaver won numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. After graduating from Juilliard, Gaver continued her studies at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she studied with renowned pianist and teacher, Gary Graffman. It was during her time at Curtis that Gaver began to establish herself as a rising star in the classical music world. In 2008, Gaver made her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with The Philadelphia Inquirer praising Gaver's "impeccable technique and musicality." Over the next few years, Gaver continued to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She also began to establish herself as a solo artist, performing recitals in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. In 2012, Gaver released her debut album, featuring works by Chopin, Liszt, and Schumann. The album was met with critical acclaim, with The New York Times praising Gaver's "sensitive and nuanced playing." In addition to her performing career, Gaver is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, and has given masterclasses around the world. Throughout her career, Gaver has received numerous awards and accolades. In addition to her win at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, she has also won the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
