The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Yerevan, Armenia. It was founded in 1925 as the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, and has since become one of the most renowned orchestras in the region. The orchestra has had many notable conductors over the years, including Arshak Adamian, Mikael Maluntsian, and Loris Tjeknavorian. Its current artistic director and principal conductor is Eduard Topchjan, who has been with the orchestra since 2000. The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra has performed in many prestigious venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. It has also collaborated with many famous soloists, such as Maxim Vengerov, Mischa Maisky, and Sergei Babayan.
