Nicolas Hodges is a renowned classical pianist known for his virtuosic performances and innovative interpretations of contemporary music. Born in London in 1970, Hodges began playing the piano at a young age and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. He went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover, Germany. Hodges’ career as a professional pianist began in the early 1990s, when he won several prestigious competitions, including the Gaudeamus International Interpreters Competition in Amsterdam and the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in Rotterdam. These early successes helped to establish Hodges as a rising star in the classical music world, and he soon began to receive invitations to perform at major concert halls and festivals around the world. One of Hodges’ most notable performances came in 1995, when he made his debut at the BBC Proms in London.
