He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a soprano. From a young age, Petri showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano and singing at the age of six. Petri's passion for classical music continued to grow throughout his childhood and teenage years. He attended the Conservatory of Naples, where he studied voice and piano. During this time, he also began performing in local operas and concerts, gaining recognition for his powerful and expressive voice. In 2005, Petri was awarded a scholarship to attend the prestigious Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. There, he studied under the guidance of renowned vocal coaches and conductors, further honing his skills as a classical singer. Petri's breakthrough performance came in 2008, when he was selected to perform the lead role in Verdi's "Rigoletto" at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. The performance was a huge success, with Petri receiving critical acclaim for his powerful and emotional portrayal of the tragic character. Following his success at La Scala, Petri began receiving invitations to perform at major opera houses and concert halls around the world. He has since performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, the Paris Opera, and the Vienna State Opera, among others.
