Kari Hänninen is a Finnish classical pianist who has gained international recognition for his virtuosic performances and interpretations of classical repertoire. Born in Helsinki in 1961, Hänninen began playing the piano at a young age and showed exceptional talent early on. He studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where he received his diploma in piano performance in 1985.
