The Württemberg State Opera Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Stuttgart, Germany. Founded in 1919, the orchestra has a rich history of performing some of the most iconic works in the classical music canon. The orchestra was originally established as the orchestra for the Württemberg State Opera, which was founded in 1912. The first conductor of the orchestra was Fritz Busch, who led the ensemble until 1922.
