Orchestra Stesichoros is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005 in Italy. The ensemble is named after the ancient Greek poet Stesichorus, who was known for his lyric poetry and choral songs. The founding members of the ensemble were a group of young musicians who shared a passion for classical music and a desire to create a new and innovative approach to performing it. The main members of Orchestra Stesichoros are conductor and artistic director Fabio Maestri, violinist and concertmaster Marco Fornaciari, and cellist and principal cellist Andrea Agostinelli.
