Malin Byström is a Swedish soprano who has established herself as one of the leading classical music artists of her generation. Born on May 22, 1971, in Stockholm, Sweden, Byström grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a cellist, and her mother was a pianist. Byström started playing the piano at the age of six and began singing in a choir when she was eight years old. Byström's passion for singing grew as she got older, and she decided to pursue a career in music. She studied at the University College of Opera in Stockholm and later at the Royal College of Music in London.
