He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned classical guitarist and his mother a pianist. From a young age, Ramos showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of five. Ramos continued his musical education at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Ana Maria Tradatti. During his time at the conservatory, Ramos won several awards and competitions, including the National Piano Competition in 2003 and the National Chamber Music Competition in 2005. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Ramos continued his education at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Yoheved Kaplinsky. During his time at Juilliard, Ramos won several awards and competitions, including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in 2008 and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2009. Ramos has performed extensively throughout the world, including in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also collaborated with some of the world's leading conductors, including Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Barenboim, and Simon Rattle. Ramos is known for his virtuosic technique and his ability to bring out the emotional depth and complexity of the music he performs. He is particularly renowned for his interpretations of the works of Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. In addition to his performing career, Ramos is also a dedicated teacher and mentor. He has taught masterclasses and given lectures at some of the world's leading music schools, including the Juilliard School, the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Conservatoire de Paris. Throughout his career, Ramos has received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to the world of classical music. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, which recognizes outstanding young musicians who have the potential for major careers in music. In 2015, he was awarded the Order of the Aztec Eagle, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a foreigner by the Mexican government.
