Margit-Anna Suß was born on May 12, 1985, in Vienna, Austria. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Suß showed a natural talent for music and began playing the violin at the age of four. Suß received her early musical education at the Vienna Music School, where she studied under the guidance of renowned violinist and pedagogue, Gerhard Schulz. She later went on to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance. Throughout her career, Suß has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She has collaborated with many renowned musicians and ensembles, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. One of Suß's most notable performances was her solo debut with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008, where she performed Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Suß was praised for her technical proficiency and musical sensitivity. In addition to her solo performances, Suß is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has performed with many notable ensembles, including the Vienna String Quartet and the Vienna Piano Trio. Suß is known for her ability to blend seamlessly with other musicians, creating a cohesive and dynamic sound. Suß has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2006, she was awarded the prestigious "Young Artist Award" by the Austrian Ministry of Culture. She has also been a recipient of the "Würdigungspreis des Bundesministeriums für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur" (Award of Appreciation from the Austrian Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture) on multiple occasions. In addition to her performing career, Suß is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught at the Vienna Music School and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she has mentored many young musicians. Suß is known for her passionate and expressive playing style, as well as her dedication to the art of classical music. She continues to perform and teach, inspiring a new generation of musicians with her talent and expertise.
