Tomasso Placidi was born on May 12, 1985, in Rome, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Placidi showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Placidi's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with his father and quickly developed his skills. By the age of ten, Placidi had already won several local piano competitions and was gaining recognition as a prodigious young talent. In 1997, Placidi was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher Sergio Perticaroli. After graduating from the conservatory with top honors, Placidi began performing professionally. In 2008, Placidi made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. He performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, also known as the "Emperor" concerto, to critical acclaim. The performance was hailed as a triumph, and Placidi was praised for his mastery of the difficult piece. Over the years, Placidi has performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the London Symphony Orchestra. He has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Riccardo Muti, and Zubin Mehta. Placidi's repertoire is vast and includes works by many of the great composers, including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff.
