John Walz, the cellist of the Pacific Trio, was born in California and began playing the cello at the age of seven. He went on to study at the University of Southern California and later earned his Master's degree from Yale University. Walz has performed with many renowned orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic. The Pacific Trio has performed at many prestigious venues throughout the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Royal Festival Hall in London.
