He grew up in a family of musicians, with his mother being a pianist and his father a cellist. From a young age, Anderson showed a natural talent for music, and his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion. Anderson began his formal music education at the age of six, when he started taking piano lessons. He quickly progressed and soon began to show an interest in other instruments, including the violin and cello.
