Alexandra Silocea is a Romanian classical pianist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born on October 27, 1985, in Bucharest, Romania, Silocea began playing the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional talent from an early age. Silocea's musical education began at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest, where she studied with renowned pianist and pedagogue Viniciu Moroianu. She continued her studies at the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in piano performance under the guidance of Professor Viniciu Moroianu and a Master's degree in piano performance with Professor Ştefan Gheorghiu. In 2008, Silocea moved to London to pursue further studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Professor Christopher Elton and received a Postgraduate Diploma in piano performance. She also completed a Master of Arts degree in performance at the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Professor Vanessa Latarche. Silocea's talent and dedication to her craft have earned her numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 2001, she won first prize at the National Piano Competition in Romania, and in 2003, she won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Sinaia, Romania. In 2006, she was awarded the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship, and in 2008, she won the prestigious Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano Competition in London. Silocea has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and North America, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors. Some of her most notable performances include her debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in London, her performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Bucharest Philharmonic Orchestra, and her performance of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Orchestre National de Lorraine in France.
