Trio Fontane is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2005. The ensemble consists of three main members: violinist Maria, cellist Anna, and pianist David. The trio has gained recognition for their unique sound and interpretation of classical music. Maria, Anna, and David met while studying at the same music conservatory. They quickly discovered their shared passion for chamber music and decided to form a trio. They named the ensemble after the famous Fontane di Roma (Fountains of Rome) by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi. Trio Fontane's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert, as well as contemporary composers like Arvo Pärt and Philip Glass. The trio is known for their dynamic performances, which showcase their technical skill and emotional depth. One of Trio Fontane's most notable performances was at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. The trio was invited to perform as part of the hall's "Rising Stars" series, which showcases up-and-coming classical musicians. The performance was a huge success, and the trio received a standing ovation from the audience. In addition to their performance at Carnegie Hall, Trio Fontane has also performed at other notable venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and the Royal Albert Hall in London. The trio has also been featured on several radio and television programs, including NPR's "Performance Today" and BBC Radio 3's "In Tune." Trio Fontane has received numerous awards and accolades for their performances. In 2010, the trio won the prestigious Chamber Music America/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming. The award recognizes ensembles that showcase innovative and diverse programming. Trio Fontane was also a finalist in the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, one of the most prestigious chamber music competitions in the United States. Despite their success, Trio Fontane remains committed to their mission of bringing classical music to a wider audience. The trio frequently performs in schools and community centers, and they have also collaborated with other artists and musicians from different genres. In addition to their performances, Trio Fontane is also dedicated to music education. The trio has conducted masterclasses and workshops for young musicians, and they have also served as mentors for aspiring chamber music ensembles. Trio Fontane's unique sound and passionate performances have earned them a loyal following of classical music enthusiasts. The trio continues to push the boundaries of classical music and inspire audiences around the world.More....
