Lorna Griffitt was born on May 12, 1985, in London, England. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Lorna showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of four. She quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with her mother. As Lorna grew older, she began to explore other instruments and eventually settled on the violin as her primary focus. She began taking lessons with a local violin teacher and quickly progressed, showing a natural talent for the instrument. By the age of ten, Lorna had already won several local competitions and was beginning to gain recognition as a rising star in the classical music world. Lorna continued to study the violin throughout her teenage years, attending several prestigious music schools and studying with some of the world's most renowned violinists. She also began to perform regularly, both as a soloist and as part of various orchestras and ensembles. One of Lorna's most notable performances came in 2005, when she was invited to perform at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms.
