Pierangelo Pelucchi was born on May 12, 1975, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Pelucchi showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Pelucchi's parents recognized his potential and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking formal piano lessons at the age of six and quickly progressed, winning his first competition at the age of eight. Pelucchi continued to excel in his studies and was accepted into the prestigious Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi in Milan at the age of 14. During his time at the conservatory, Pelucchi studied under some of the most renowned pianists in Italy, including Carlo Bruno and Piero Rattalino. He also had the opportunity to perform in numerous concerts and competitions, winning several awards and accolades for his performances. After graduating from the conservatory, Pelucchi continued to hone his skills and expand his repertoire. He began performing in concerts throughout Italy and Europe, gaining a reputation as a talented and versatile pianist. He also began teaching piano at the conservatory, passing on his knowledge and passion for music to the next generation of musicians. One of Pelucchi's most notable performances came in 2001, when he was invited to perform at the prestigious La Scala opera house in Milan. He played a solo recital to a packed audience, receiving a standing ovation and rave reviews from critics. This performance helped to cement Pelucchi's reputation as one of the top pianists in Italy. In addition to his solo performances, Pelucchi has also collaborated with numerous orchestras and chamber groups throughout his career. He has performed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, among others. He has also collaborated with renowned conductors such as Riccardo Chailly and Daniel Harding. Pelucchi's repertoire is diverse, ranging from classical works by Mozart and Beethoven to contemporary pieces by modern composers. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the works of Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff, and has recorded several albums featuring their compositions. He has won the Premio Abbiati, Italy's most prestigious music award, twice, in 2005 and 2012. He has also been awarded the Premio Franco Abbiati and the Premio della Critica Musicale, among others.
