Beydts graduated from the conservatory in 1919 with first prizes in composition, conducting, and piano. After completing his studies, Beydts began his career as a conductor, working with various orchestras in France. He also taught music theory and composition at the Bordeaux Conservatory. In 1925, he was appointed the conductor of the Orchestre de la Société des Concerts Populaires de Bordeaux, a position he held for over 20 years. Beydts was a prolific composer, and his works encompassed a wide range of genres, including orchestral music, chamber music, vocal music, and operas.
