Artist Info
Role:ConductorDmitry Sinkovsky is a Russian classical music artist who has made a name for himself as a violinist, countertenor, and conductor. Born on April 23, 1980, in Moscow, Sinkovsky showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of five. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, Germany. Sinkovsky's career as a violinist began to take off in the early 2000s, when he won several international competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition in 2002. He quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso performer, known for his technical skill and expressive playing. In addition to his work as a violinist, Sinkovsky also began to explore his talents as a countertenor. He had always been interested in singing, and had even studied voice at the Moscow Conservatory. However, it wasn't until he began performing with the ensemble La Voce Strumentale that he began to focus more seriously on his singing career. Sinkovsky's unique combination of talents as a violinist and countertenor quickly made him a sought-after performer. He began to collaborate with some of the world's leading early music ensembles, including Il Giardino Armonico, Concerto Köln, and the Venice Baroque Orchestra. One of Sinkovsky's most memorable performances came in 2011, when he made his debut as a conductor with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. The concert was a huge success, and Sinkovsky was praised for his ability to bring out the best in the orchestra. Since then, Sinkovsky has continued to perform as both a violinist and a countertenor, and has also established himself as a conductor. He has conducted several major orchestras, including the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Sinkovsky has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In addition to his win at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, he has also won the Premio Bonporti International Baroque Violin Competition and the Moscow International Niccolò Paganini Competition. Despite his many accomplishments, Sinkovsky remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to push himself to new heights as a performer and conductor, and is widely regarded as one of the most talented and versatile musicians of his generation.More....
