Alberto Miguélez Rouco is a Spanish classical pianist and composer, born on October 22, 1989, in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. He began his musical studies at the age of six, and by the age of ten, he had already won his first piano competition. His talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly became recognized as one of the most promising young pianists in Spain. Miguélez Rouco studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Oviedo, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance. He then went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he earned his Master's degree in Piano Performance with honors. During his time in Brussels, he also studied composition with the renowned Belgian composer, Jean-Luc Fafchamps. Miguélez Rouco has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and has been praised for his virtuosity, sensitivity, and musicality. He has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. One of the highlights of Miguélez Rouco's career was his performance at the 2010 International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain, where he won first prize. This competition is one of the most prestigious piano competitions in the world, and winning it is a significant achievement for any pianist.
