Born on 12th May 1975 in Zurich, Switzerland, Tönz showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents, who were both music enthusiasts, encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Tönz's talent was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy. He began performing in public at the age of eight and won his first competition at the age of ten. His parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Zurich Conservatory, where he received formal training in music. During his time at the conservatory, Tönz honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. He studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in Switzerland, including Hans-Jürg Strub and Rudolf Buchbinder. Tönz's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated with honors from the conservatory. After completing his studies, Tönz began his professional career as a concert pianist. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera. Tönz's performances were always highly anticipated, and he never failed to impress his audiences. His technical proficiency and emotional depth were unmatched, and he quickly became one of the most sought-after pianists in Europe. In addition to his solo performances, Tönz also collaborated with some of the most renowned orchestras in Europe, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic. Tragically, Tönz's career was cut short when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2005. Despite undergoing several rounds of treatment, he passed away on 15th August 2006, at the age of 31.
