Birth:1984 in Paris, FranceFanny Clamagirand is a French classical violinist who has gained international recognition for her virtuosic performances and musical interpretations. Born in 1983 in Paris, Clamagirand began playing the violin at the age of four and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she was a student of Boris Garlitsky and Jean-Jacques Kantorow. Clamagirand's early career was marked by numerous awards and accolades. In 2004, she won first prize at the International Violin Competition of Sion-Valais in Switzerland, and in 2005, she was awarded the Grand Prix du Disque for her recording of the violin concertos of Jean Sibelius and Karol Szymanowski. She also won the prestigious Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition in 2007, which led to her debut performance at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Since then, Clamagirand has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also collaborated with renowned conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Paavo Järvi, and Leonard Slatkin. One of Clamagirand's most notable performances was her debut at the BBC Proms in 2011, where she performed the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Dmitri Shostakovich with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance was widely praised for Clamagirand's technical skill and emotional depth, and it helped to establish her as one of the leading violinists of her generation. In addition to her performances as a soloist, Clamagirand is also an active chamber musician. She has performed with many of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Ébène Quartet, the Modigliani Quartet, and the Trio Wanderer. She is also a member of the Trio Karénine, which she founded in 2013 with pianist Paloma Kouider and cellist Louis Rodde. In addition to her competition wins, she has been awarded the Prix de la Fondation Simone et Cino Del Duca, the Prix de la Fondation Charles Oulmont, and the Prix de la Fondation Meyer. She was also named a "Rising Star" by the European Concert Hall Organization in 2013, which led to a series of performances at some of Europe's most prestigious concert halls.
