At the age of ten, Maria won her first national piano competition in Greece. This was a significant achievement for her, and it marked the beginning of her career as a professional musician. She continued to participate in various competitions and festivals, and her talent was recognized by many. In 2003, Maria was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
